SR is Certifiably Fresh

My grandpa, a retired journalist, called me the other day and said in his raspy voice "You have a hit on your hands". He quoted the New York Times which wrote "Superman Returns isn't super it's Supurb!".

Rotten Tomatoes gave it a Certified Fresh rating.

Cinefex

The Cinefex July 2006 issue #106 has my work on the cover. This screen shot is from the Metropolis Destruction sequence. If you can't tell it's digital Superman, and his hair and cape simulation is my work.

During the San Francisco Underground Film Festival, Variety printed this article.

I like this quote: "Cult status is assured"

Happy 3rd Birthday Noah!!!

My son turns 3 today. That's just crazy. 4 years ago if you told me this would happen I would laugh at you. However my son turned out to be the best thing I/we have ever created. He is my blessing. The most beautiful boy there is. Right?!

I will say this though. I wish I was with him right NOW. It's hard to be thousands of miles away from him, even though I know I will see him shortly. I will either return to him in less then 2 weeks or he and mom will come to me. Animal Logic needs me and every motion editor they can get, and have offered to extend my contract to finish Happy Feet. We'll know if I stay for sure next week.

Starslyderz at the SF Indie Film Fest

Starslyderz is a film I started working on pro-bono straight out of school back in 2000. And for the following 4.5 years much has changed in my life. In that time I worked several jobs, 2 movies, 2 video game companies, moved like 20 times, lived in 6 different cities, and even had a son. Through out all of the above, the one constant in my life, other then myself was STARSLYDERZ.

It's a halerious, homage/parody of all the cartoons/video-games/pop-culture that my generation grew up on, all rolled together, given a more mature spin and turned into an anti-climactic-comedy-action-sci-fi-full-length-feature-film. Please check it out and comment to me on your thoughts. It's available for FREE as a pod cast on the iTunes video store.

So yeah, the point of this post is to mention that it is going to be playing at the San Francisco
Independent Undergound Film Festival. Sorry for the late notice, but I myself just found this out.
